I normally work on a rough rule when photographing portraits.
I make women look beautiful, men look distinguished and children look cute.

Photography is an art. It is all about the capture of light, and people photography is no different, yet there is an added difficulty to capture the soul and spirit of a person within the image, bringing it to life on the printed paper. It's about relaxing your subject, finding the best in them and bringing that to the forefront of the image. Having worked with hundreds of people from professional models down to young children who don’t even understand what is happening, I’m able to find that special thing within a person to capture though my lens.

I can shoot many styles from classic formal, traditional to way out funky! and of course anything in between, including relaxed informals, artistic, retro and warm and homely. I can shoot either natural light, flash or studio flash, dependant upon the situation and requirements. I can either interpret your ideas or advise you on what would look best.

Portraiture can take place within your own home, a studio, outside, or indeed any other location. I have a full portable studio consisting of high quality strobe lights, backgrounds and everything else needed. If required I can even set this portable studio up at your wedding venue.

Also please note that for your peace of mind for working with children or 'special' people I am CRB checked and hold a certificate of enhanced disclosure .

Also if you are booking me for your wedding, why not have some pre wedding portraits? Use the images for yourselves or for adding to your wedding stationary.
